Our History
The Common Good Gardens began with a shoreline gardener's vision to help address the problem of hunger in our community. Gifted with the enviable power of persuasion, she approached a member of Grace Church and inquired about an unused area behind the Church. With a sense of shared purpose, the Church agreed to provide support. So, beginning in 2002, a group of talented, highly motivated gardeners designed and built today's bountiful vegetable garden – a garden that fulfills the founding vision.
